1.d4 f5 — Black grabs kingside space on move one and plays for an attack, at the cost of a permanently loosened king. The Leningrad fianchettoes and plays it like a King's Indian, the Stonewall builds an immovable pawn wall and aims everything at h2, and the Classical keeps things flexible. Sharp, under-prepared by most opponents, and never boring.
